"Good Guy Builders did a stellar job on a bathroom remodel in my home a few years ago so when I decided to do a more extensive remodel of my outdated kitchen, they were the ones I contacted. My wish list included a multifunction kitchen with an upgraded cooking area, bar/wine section, desk workstation and a large island that served as a prep space, storage and seating area for four - everything and the kitchen sink. The owner, Mark Dziuk, and his crew didn’t bat an eye. Instead, his team of highly skilled tradesman brought my vision to reality. Even though I was offsite during construction, Mark efficiently managed the project and provided me with daily updates of the work performed, hours worked and photos of the progress. This allowed me to make timely adjustments to the work order as well as monitor my budget throughout the process. Super pleased with the quality of work, transparent process and excellent communication. The project stayed close to the estimated budget, was completed more quickly than projected and I'm ecstatic with the finished result."

"Just completed our 4th (large) remodel project with Marc and his team - ripped all carpet out of our home and replaced with hardwood flooring. My experience(s) with Good Guy have always been stellar. Fantastic craftsmanship, cordial and polite craftsmen assigned to the project, very efficient (entire project done in 2-1/4 days). They were meticulous in keeping the house clean & clean-up at job completion was outstanding - all the while being very cautious in our Covid-19 restrictions. Another important thing to consider when hiring a contracting firm - how often do you get a "cost-conscious" contractor that will manage the project with your checkbook in mind??"

"We used Good Guy Builders to remodel our master bathroom in our vacation home in Napa and couldn't be happier with the process and results. The prospect of doing a remodel from afar was initially daunting, but we were put at ease by the company's expertise in remodeling second homes as well as their transparency in regards to projected time and costs. "We live among the Redwoods, where the environment, though beautiful, is persistently damp. Over a period of many years, our deck and basement suffered severe damage from dry rot, wet rot, termites, and beetles. Desperate to repair/replace these failing structures, we sought bids from a number of contractors. However, we were most impressed by the professionalism and "can-do" attitude demonstrated by Mark, the owner and operator of Good Guy Builders. From the beginning, we were pleased with the terms and conditions of the Service Agreement and, as the project progressed, we received daily progress reports.
The transformation has been unbelievable. We watched in awe each day as John and Cliff, the builders, created new and beautiful masterpieces for us! New walls, new windows, new ceilings, new stairs, new decks, new railings, new gates. Our basement can now be lived in, and offers beautiful views onto a new lower deck and the surrounding Redwood forest. The upper deck has now been fully rebuilt. The design is attractive, classy, and spacious...and it is extremely well-constructed.
Today, we feel safe and proud because of the masterful work accomplished by this team, Thank you, Mark, John, and Cliff!"

"What can I say about Mark and Good Guy Builders that hasn't been already said in most of these reviews? While I've never been a consumer of their services, I have worked along aside him as a design consultant and have prepared construction documents for several of his high-end projects in Napa. Working with Mark is unlike working with any other building contractor professional that I've experienced to date. Forget the stereotypes and the cliches that go along with "contractors." I consider Mark the upper echelon of professionals, and most other contractors should strive to up their game to his level. Mark is among the most responsive, transparent, clear communicating, involved, collaborative, accountable, honest, and creative builders I've ever worked with. He makes my job easy, with photos, sketches, and complete ideas in a most succinct manner. He actually answers his phone, returns phone calls and emails in a timely manner, and provides a clear path forward in all situations. I only wish we had a "Good Guy Builders" in my area, as I would recommend them to all of my clients, and as a die-hard DIY'er, would hire them myself without hesitation or concern. In my opinion, if you want the best experience you can have with a contractor, hire Mark and Good Guy Builders."

"My husband and I were in a horrible car accident this past June and I sustained crushed feet. I realized pretty quickly that I was facing many months in a wheelchair and that our home was filled with obstacles. While in the hospital, I called several contractors looking for support to do a bathroom remodel on very short notice (as I really needed it completed before I could return home and shower). Everyone I called was either booked out too far or they didn't return my calls. Mark answered the call on a weekend and he was the first willing to listen to our situation and needs and then agreed to do everything he could to squeeze our project in to his already very busy schedule. He and his crew were prompt, reliable and always professional. Mark provided nightly emails with pictures and reviews of what was completed each day and he was always easy to reach by phone or text to answer questions or check-in. We are happy with the job they completed, turning our raised bathtub into a beautiful walk-in (roll-in) shower. We highly recommend Mark and his team. And I will be forever grateful for Mark's empathy and willingness to make it all work."

"Mark and the Good Guy Builders were a huge help to me as I bought my first home. I'm actually not sure that I would have been able to successfully close without them. Not only did they perform a very large renovation (including knocking down load bearing walls, installing a new bathroom, electricity/plumbing work), since this was my first construction loan, he walked me through part of the financing and bureaucracy so I knew what to expect and met my deadlines. Mark also helped me with sub contractors who tried cutting corners and spoke directly to their boss. As an architect its very rare to find a trustworthy builder who cares about the quality of their work, is knowledgeable about California building codes, and most importantly commits to finishing on time."

"We contracted with Mark after responding to his Craiglist advert. Our project was a 'down to bare walls' reconstruction of our (very) dated kitchen. The project involved demands for numerous skill sets (demo work, plumbing, heavy electrical, lighting design/installation, drywall install & texturing, painting cabinet/drawer selection purchase & installation, overall design of kitchen and ALL of the needed coordination involved in a project of large scope). Mark and team - Mike, Fernando, Gill, et.al. were courteous, professional and extremely meticulous in every aspect of the work. One other thing of note that I must mention - when was the last time you worked with a contractor that exhibited cost awareness?? Mark did so and we feel we got the highest quality materials AND saved (literally) thousands of dollars. When you have a contractor who is spending your money as if it was his - you lucked out. We lucked out with Mark and his team and heartily recommend him/them for projects of any scale/size. We (my wife and I) are thrilled with the finished project and urge Mark to post some pics for others to garner an appreciation of the quality workmanship you will receive from Good Guy(s). "Wow what can I say, where to start? I feel as if we have adopted Mark into our family since one project has led to the next and next. We hired Mark to do the impossible renovation, with some pretty unconventional style requests that took a lot of ingenuity to bring to life. Our project is 100 times better than I imaged it could be. Since our mini house make over is completed we have hired Mark back to install doors and build in custom frames around them. Then retaining wall work. Then Install and plumb a custom coffee maker. The list goes on and on. It is years of projects just getting handled one after another with the result always the same. Quality Quality Quality and working with us when cost cutting was in order on projects. I recommend him to all my family and friends. The only downside is sometimes you have to wait to get on the schedule but he is worth the wait."
